Apartment N18 in the Old Town – Unknown Studio
The combination of rounded forms and a controlled vision through semi-transparency gave the space unity, with a clear definition of zones and environments.
Unknown Studio from Belgrade did the interior design project for this 96-square-meter apartment built in the 1970sin order for a family of six to get space for occasional stays in the capital city. The client's request was that everyone get their own space/room, without it affecting the spaciousness of the living area, i.e. the common area.
Thus, with a combination of rounded forms and a controlled view through semi-transparency, the space gained unity, with again a clear definition of zones and environments. Timeless materials, terrazzo and wood, received new, more modern lines, while existing details got a new life through rethinking and use. Full project here
