We also reward exceptional performance exceptionally! This year the path of our most successful brokers led to breathtaking Marrakesh. In this article we review the incentive trip for everyone.
Arrival and cooking class
The Marrakech adventure began with the arrival at the Hotel Sofitel, which, in addition to its modern facilities, shone with an oriental touch. We were invited to the so-called “welcome tea” at the reception and were allowed to taste the so-called “Berber whiskey” right at the beginning of the trip. The herbal tea is poured from a distance using a small pot. This provides additional oxygen and also a great taste.
After a short breakfast in the neighboring patisserie, we went on to chef Tarik. Under the great guidance of the chefs, we prepared our lunch in three groups in a so-called tagine. This is a traditional clay pot that is used to cook fresh vegetables, meat and herbs on an open flame. We all had a lot of fun cooking and despite the worry that we would oversalt our lunch, we ended up preparing a delicious meal. The knowledge gained and the ability of the groups to prepare Moroccan food was then personally awarded a diploma by the chef Tarik.
After everyone was able to enjoy some time for themselves at the hotel's beautiful pool area, we ended the day together with delicious sushi and good drinks on the “Kabana Rooftop”.
Balloon ride and sightseeing
The next day dawned before sunrise. For some adventurers it started at 5:30 a.m. A little away from Marrakesh, they were able to enjoy the rising sun – around 500 meters above the earth – in a hot air balloon.
In the afternoon everyone continued sightseeing and visited the old Koran school. In the old town, the image that many people have in their minds of Marrakech: everything could be seen, from a restored cooking pot to a life-sized animal sculpture to a self-woven carpet and spices from all over the world.
After a short but nutritious lunch, we continued to the “Jardin Majorelle”, a garden straight out of a picture book with plants from all over the world. Right next door is the chic museum of Yves Saint Laurent, who incidentally had his remains scattered in the garden alongside those of his partner and architect of the garden.
After a short walk we continued to Gauklerplatz, where snake charmers, monkey trainers and various traders lined up close together. For a few dirhams – the local currency – you could also pose and have your photo taken.
In “Le Palace” – one of the chicest restaurants in Marrakech – we were treated to European cuisine, fine wines and sweet local patisserie. A culinary feast for the palate!
Atlas Mountains and Dromedary Riding
The next morning we continued into the Atlas Mountains in real 4×4 off-road vehicles. At just under 2,000 meters above sea level, we were able to get an impression of the beauty of Morocco during a two-hour hike. In between we also made a stopover and visited the Berber village of Hassan, where we were able to have a traditional lunch.
After another adventurous off-road drive, we arrived at our destination for the day, the “White Camel Lodge”. After a short cool-down in the pool, we went on a dromedary ride into the desert and then on to a breathtaking night with African dance performances, fire spectacles and a delicious dinner.
Action and relaxation
The next morning, the more adventurous enjoyed a wild ride on quads through the desert and the calmer souls ended the trip at the impressive pool before heading back home.
